In the USA federal regulations require truckers sleep health to be closely monitored. Sleep disorders are especially dangerous for long distance truckers who may struggle to stay awake. Haulage companies are now setting up facilities to allow them to observe their drivers sleeping patterns over night. The sedentary nature of trucking along with poor dietary choices means many are overweight a major influence on snoring and it’s big brother the much more serious Apnea.
It’s good news that more companies are taking sleep disorders seriously, snoring and apnea are risks to people’s health even without accidents.
